Ramp now lets companies hold USDC and USDT inside the same dashboard they use to manage cash and pay bills, then send those digital dollars to vendor wallets in more than 140 countries at any hour. The corporate finance platform launched Stablecoin Accounts, which store USDC or USDT alongside a company's cash and route payments through Ramp Bill Pay without touching a separate exchange or wallet. More than 1,000 businesses already pay vendors in stablecoins through Ramp. Over 70% of that volume, the company says, moves after banks have closed.

Cash and stablecoins, one dashboard

The pitch is that nothing about a finance team's workflow has to change. Stablecoin balances follow the same approval policies as cash and feed the same accounting integrations, appearing on the same screen. A company can fund a payment from a U.S. dollar bank account or its Ramp Checking balance, let Ramp convert it to USDC or USDT, and deliver it to a recipient's wallet, all without ever holding crypto itself. Eligible balances earn rewards of up to 3.25%. Ramp frames the tokens as digital dollars backed by cash reserves, meant for payments and treasury rather than speculation.

Totalis CEO Pravesh Mansharamani, one of the customers Ramp put forward, said the account has let his company keep treasury assets on-chain. He described programmable, always-available money as a better fit for how modern businesses run than conventional banking rails.

Solana's enterprise push

For Solana, this is another enterprise payments win at a moment when its ecosystem is leaning into stablecoin settlement rather than trading and DeFi. Earlier this month, SBI Holdings and the Solana Foundation set up SBI Solana Global to build regulated on-chain financial infrastructure in Japan, with plans for yen-denominated stablecoins including JPYSC plus tokenized bonds, commercial paper, and real estate products. The venture also named cross-border payments and AI-focused payment systems as future business lines.

The pattern is not new. In April, Shinhan Card began testing stablecoin retail payments on Solana's testnet, measuring transaction performance and non-custodial wallet security through a proof-of-concept. The foundation's Pay.sh gateway, built with Google Cloud, lets AI agents pay per request for services like Gemini and Vertex AI using Solana wallets instead of API keys. Product dates for the Japan venture have not been disclosed.
