Cardano is back in the top 15. ADA rallied 18.81% off last week's multi-year low of $0.1387 to $0.1648, a move that reversed weeks of heavy selling and lifted the token from 18th place to 14th by market cap. The recovery hands Cardano a valuation of roughly $6 billion. It also quiets, for now, a rough stretch that had ADA trading at prices it had not seen in years, and it put the token among the strongest performers of the broader market rebound.

What the rally cleared

The climb came fast, and it came at other coins' expense. Inside two days ADA passed Canton, Chainlink, and Monero to retake 14th place. The bigger names are within reach now. Cardano sits less than $800 million behind Stellar and about $1.38 billion behind Zcash, which holds 12th. At press time ADA was up 5.96% on the day and 13.59% over the past seven days. The selling that dragged it to $0.1387 has, at least this week, given way to steady buying.

The top 10 question

Every Cardano rally revives the same question: when does ADA get back to the top ten? The bar is set by its own history. During the 2021 bull market Cardano did not just crack the top ten. It briefly ranked as the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. That peak is why a 14th-place finish and a $6 billion valuation read, to longtime holders, as a floor to build from rather than a ceiling. Critics look at the same numbers and keep asking why the return to the top has stalled for so long.

Hoskinson's long game

Founder Charles Hoskinson has kept the ambitions maximal. He calls Cardano his life's work and argues the network could one day become the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, even challenging Bitcoin for the top of CoinMarketCap. The caveat, in his telling, is sustained support and participation from the Cardano community. That vision stays distant. The nearer target is measurable and close: close the roughly $800 million gap to Stellar and take back 13th, then decide whether the momentum is real or just another bounce.

Market data from OKX / CoinGecko. Not financial advice.

ADA trades at $0.1672, up 5.0% on the day and 12.0% over the week, with a market cap of $5.98 billion on $422.2 million of 24-hour volume. The short-term tape is green, and the weekly gain says the bounce is more than a single session.

Zoom out and the picture cools. ADA is still down 25.9% over the past 30 days, so this is a recovery off a deep drawdown, not a fresh trend. Whether the volume marks real accumulation or a relief bounce is the open question; a durable move would need that bid to hold as the monthly loss unwinds.
