All-Time Low (ATL)
The lowest price an asset has ever traded at since it began trading on the market.
The all-time low, or ATL, is the floor a coin has never traded below. For a healthy asset that level sits far in the past; Bitcoin's ATL of well under a dollar is ancient history. For a failing one, the ATL keeps getting broken as the chart bleeds toward zero.
A token repeatedly setting new lows is a warning, not a bargain. The phrase 'catching a falling knife' exists for the buyers who assume the bottom is in. Some assets bounce hard off long-term lows; many simply keep going, and a few never recover at all.
