Shiba Inu Reserves Sink Under 100 Trillion as Price Downtrend Holds

Exchange-held SHIB has slid to about 86.1 trillion, and months of steady outflows still haven't pushed the price higher.

Holders keep pulling Shiba Inu off exchanges, and the ledger shows it. On-chain data now puts the amount of SHIB parked on centralized trading platforms at roughly 86.1 trillion tokens, dragging exchange reserves under the 100 trillion mark that not long ago looked untouchable given the token's enormous supply. Reserves track how much SHIB is available to sell right now, so a falling balance means holders are moving coins into their own wallets and off the order book. The price has ignored all of it.

Supply leaving exchanges

Exchange netflow is deep in the red at around negative 145 billion SHIB, meaning far more tokens are leaving than arriving. Daily outflows keep outpacing inflows. The single-day change in reserves is small, about -0.17%, but the direction has held for months as coins move from exchange wallets into private ones, where they cannot be sold at a moment's notice. That is usually read as a bullish setup: fewer sellable coins, if demand ever returns, means less supply standing in the way.

The chart disagrees

Price action hasn't cooperated. SHIB trades near $0.0000041 and remains stuck in a downtrend that has run for months. It sits below its 26-day, 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages, while the 200-day average hangs well overhead, a textbook read of sellers in control. Every rally has been sold. Earlier consolidation patterns that could have set up a higher high broke lower instead, and recent candles keep printing lower lows.

Momentum offers buyers little cover. The RSI sits at 38, a slight bounce off oversold territory but still well below the neutral 50, which says selling pressure has eased without buyers taking over. So the two signals pull in opposite directions. On-chain, the liquid float keeps thinning. On the chart, the grind lower continues, and the open question is whether a shrinking supply eventually forces the move the moving averages still refuse to show.
